People talking and chatting loudly in the 'quiet' carriage on trains and the sodding staff doing feck all about it...

It's been a good few years since I last took a train but I'm intrigued by this idea of 'quiet' carriages. How much more does it cost to book a quiet carriage?

Nothing, but one carriage is designated a 'Quiet Zone'. Supposedly their for working or sleeping, but generally full of children howling, businessmen chatting loudly or teenage girls on mobiles. And the train staff won't do a damn thing.

I would actually pay more for a truly quiet carriage. Sadly, not first class rates as my company won't let me.

Women who apply make up from the moment they sit their backsides down on the train and continue to make up all the way into London, or finish with the make up and instantly pick up the mobile and chat non stop even when they get off the train!!!!! Better still, the look of puzzlement on their faces when they look at their phones on entering a tunnel and the line goes dead.

Generic European adverts (especially car adverts)

The phrase "up to" used in conjunction with statistics in adverts

The phrase "award winning" in adverts (what award?)

The word "muppet" when used as an insult

The word "party" when used as a verb

Fake corporate bonhomie in marketing eg. Innocent drinks

The word "myself" when used instead of "me". Also "yourself/you"

There is a constant advert that keeps coming on with three ladies in an art gallery, they seem very happy as it is an ad for Tenner Pants, I think that after so many appearances they should not be dancing but swimming.

I think that the advert is degrading and too personal to be shown so often.

    • Another recommendation for Niko. Great communication, top guy, and super reliable and skilled - all at a fair price. Takes a lot of care in what he does and talks you through everything.
    • Some foxes are very tame. The foxes that live near the electricity sub-station thing on the corner of Calton and Woodwarde will happily walk up to you/passed you. They are some of the best looking foxes around so clearly being well-fed - glorious coats and bushy tails but interested in humans and keen to engage/be fed rather than being scared.
