The commentator on the Tour de France - stop saying how fecking AMAZING the crowds are, how AMAZING Yorkshire is, how great Britain is at supporting sporting events, how impressive Yorkshire is and how AMAZING the fecking bluddy crowds are!! Seriously. If you've got nowt else to say - shut up!

ETA - later -

Having said that - a few minutes ago waxing lyrical on the scenery "...the bridge over the River Wensleydale..." what a sequel that would have made...

In the last few years I've really come to respect Vanessa Feltz. She's highly intelligent and articulate, and her radio show on BBC London is an impressively high standard. She's also funny, able to laugh at herself and gets a lot out of life. I think a lot of the criticism tends to be driven by covert sexism. Roll on the day when a woman isn't automatically put down for being overweight and over 40, or for (heaven forbid) speaking her mind.

    • Another recommendation for Niko. Great communication, top guy, and super reliable and skilled - all at a fair price. Takes a lot of care in what he does and talks you through everything.
    • Some foxes are very tame. The foxes that live near the electricity sub-station thing on the corner of Calton and Woodwarde will happily walk up to you/passed you. They are some of the best looking foxes around so clearly being well-fed - glorious coats and bushy tails but interested in humans and keen to engage/be fed rather than being scared.
