I'm in my summer plumage right now, beard wise. No1 into a No 2 with a 1/2 fade on the sides

God I sound such a twat

Waiting in all morning yesterday for a courier who turns up only when you've finally given up and gone out, won't leave it in a safe place and says they'll try again tomorrow without indicating a time or telling you where you can collect it. Like being under house arrest.

I've been buying second hand/antique wooden furniture of late, mainly because it is nicer and cheaper than new stuff. But there is a fashion at the moment of painting lovely antique stuff in sodding Farrow and Ball chalky pastel blue paint. AAAAAAAAARRRGGGH.

There are going to be a lot of people spending loads of money getting this cack off in a few years once this fashion changes.

    • I can recommend Dulwich Village. Quite quiet yesterday.
    • It's Christmas. People are sending presents they've left to almost the last minute,  and returning stuff they've bought online for presents and then  regretted. That's on top of all the usual transactions. The Post Office only has a max of four people on the counter, if you include the one nearest the street. They can't suddenly magic up more space! I imagine going when they open would be the quietest time, but what would I know?
    • Post Office this time of year…I’ve seen shorter queues for Hyperia (new Thorpe Park ride 🤣) Christmas may have been and gone by the time I get to front of queue but wish me luck. Day 3 off tryin! What’s goin on?!
    • Yes Aroma Lab is brilliant. They also work with an app called Paace which lets you save money on your coffee just by getting your steps in! I got a flat white there for £1.50!
