Cupcakes!!!!!!!!!!

Or at least the modern day version which is actually nothing like a cupcake as I understood them as a child, and tends to include these little shiny "edible" balls which actually share the same consistency as your average pebble.

estate Agent who says "its going to take 6 to 8 weeks to complete a purchase" who then rings in 2 weeks time and say "you know I said six to 8 well its good news its going to take 6 weeks" Ofcourse it fing is its two weeks later you knobhead.

This sort of bollocks!

But the deal goes further than just enhancing our standing in one of our core vertical markets. A major synergy ? and one of the key drivers for this acquisition ? is that it gives us the ability to roll out Kamanchi recruitment application development and consultancy services to our current recruitment clients ? helping provide further value to our user base and filling an acknowledged solutions ?gap?. We will also be looking at learning from the Kamanchi model and applying it to other core markets, including legal and financial services.

Yes. I am referring to the Rocky Horror Picture Show. As well as this Secret Cinema business.

People who feel that it's right to share on Facebook etc horrific photos of people in war zones such as Gaza with their faces blown off or lying in bits and pieces. I've had to "unfriend" someone who did this the other day.

This is insulting to the relatives and friends of the victim who probably didn't give permission for this and who will probably be horrified to have the photo spread throughout social media. It is also insulting to compassionate and adult people who will probably agree with the poster that the conflict that led to the photo is awful but who are savvy enough to know that, unlike in a computer game, a body that is hit by a bomb doesn't just fall over and lie there but is likely to be blown to pieces. We can use our imagination and have got past the stage of accepting that when Jerry the Mouse flattens Tom with a frying pan, Tom will re-emerge totally unscathed in the next scene.

In fact I would go further and call it atrocity porn.

I agree with you. However, it's not 'irrational' or a 'tiny little thing'.

People in supermarket queues who, after they've packed all their shopping in their trolley, only then start to rummage around looking for their money or cards, as if they're thinking "Oh, I see, you're expecting me to pay for this stuff".

    • Lost morning of 5th November between Archdale Road  and Denmark Hill station via Lordship Lane.
    • Was planning to come on here to ask if anyone might know which celeb/royal came through Lordship Lane yesterday - was on my way up to Spurs, on bus at the roundabout by the EDT when some whistling police cyclists pulled the traffic to the side of the road to allow a biggish range rover to shoot past, on the way up towards Dog Kennel Hill. Could only make out two, maybe middle-aged, men in the front before it passed. Mildly hysterical lady on pavement was laughing/screeching with her friend that they were desperately trying to find out who it was. Had more reason to post after this lunchtime's experience. Had just got to bus stop opposite the M&S by the station when some mini cooper thing bombed through the traffic, swerving across to cut up another car to get up the hill, before two or three police cars followed about 20 seconds behind. Said mini cooper thing then reappeared coming the other way, beeping its horn to get other cars out the way before it bombed up what I think was Elsie Road, with police cars now on both sides of the road by Maxin trying to stop traffic getting in the way/half the speeding car. Bit more than I had bargained for when I set out/want in local area! Stay careful out there folks, this place is getting scarier...
    • The stop outside the chippy was still closed earlier today, although the barriers I saw yesterday have been removed, so no need for the closure.  The stop outside the church across the road is now uncovered and open
    • You all have different and conflicting interests though. It isn't necessarily appropriate for him to communicate with all of you at the same time about the same issues.    You're giving more away with each post as to how these difficulties probably arose.
