Could be one of a few things:

1) If you have a network cable you can plus straight into your router, try that. If the speed is OK, then it will be your wireless - most probably channel clash. Changing channel on Sky routers is pretty easy.

2) Do you have microfilters on all other phone equipment?

3) If the wired connection test was rubbish, it could be your telephone wiring. It the router plugged onto the main phone socket or a subsocket? If you can find the main socket and take the front cover off, you'll see the test socket. Plug your router into that - if it improves speed then you probably need to look at the wiring. (google: broadband bell wire)

    • Seems to be back on now although pressure reduced especially for hot water via boiler. Hopefully I can have a shower in the morning.
    • It’s far too hot. Dogs should not be out and you’re right to post this.
    • Agree that you have to be so careful dogs in this heat… but please dont judge so quickly.  Its one thing if you see a dog at midday being thrown the ball endlessly, but if you see a dog en route / somewhere - You dont know if that dog was being walked to the vet for an emergency appointment.. or taken to a friend’s house that is cooler etc.  And if they live in a flat, they might desperately need to be taken out for a quick pee / poo !
    • I know,  absolutely crazy.  A dog has never died because it didn't have a walk, but dogs do die if walked in this heat. Perhaps the owners should put on a thick fur coat, take their shoes off and jog round the pavements, and see how that feels! 🤬
