Hello there,

Apologies for the spam, I just wanted to pop by and tell people about this. I know some people who frequent here will be in attendance, so i thought others might be interested too......

Festinho is that perfect little festival that you don?t want to tell everyone about ? because you want to keep it to yourself?

An intimate, friendly festival in a magical setting ? the grounds of Kentwell Hall in Suffolk ? Festinho is a delicious cocktail of eclectic music, sunny Brazilian vibes, a laid-back feel and the extra feelgood factor of being 100% for charity. All profits go to the ABC trust, which helps Brazilian street kids.

You?ll find the cream of up-and-coming talent alongside more famous names across all musical genres, as well as art spaces, film screenings and plenty of Brazilian flavour with capoeira, samba and percussion workshops and demos. If that all gets a bit tiring, grab a perfect caipirinha from the cocktail bar and kick back in a hammock, or bliss out to a massage in the Body and Soul space. When night falls, get lost in the mirrorballs and light installations of the Feel Good Woods ? you?ll find the Disco Shed hidden in a glade, keeping the shedonists dancing all night long. Or just cosy up by the campfire and get some tasty locally-sourced food from the BBQ.

Festinho is family-friendly too, with a play area to keep the small people entertained, high quality camping and plenty of good toilets and hot showers.

A quirky, charming alternative to the festival mammoths, Festinho is living proof that small is very beautiful.

It'd be great if some of you could make it,

Emily x

    • Is this a popular event? If great demand for this sort of event on such a small space then so be it. It is just with Peckham Common so very close by just wondering why this is considered a preferable venue for this kind of thing?
    • Another recommendation for Jason who is brilliant all-round. He plastered our rooms and hallways (some walls were blown and needed re-boarding), replaced two ceilings and over-boarded one. From the start he was always communicative, happy to pop by to assess first, and transparent about the various options and their associated costs. He worked thoroughly, going above and beyond to make sure every job was finished to a high standard and is very fairly priced, particularly considering the hours he puts in. We’re so pleased with the results of our flat and have already recommended him unreservedly to others. Also helps that he is just a sound guy who’s really easy to chat to!
    • Well let’s put it this way - certainly alot more alert when I am in town than I use to be . Don’t feel unsafe just a lot more cautious and aware of my surroundings.  Tend to avoid walking anywhere in town as in London or Dulwich etc when it gets dark. Personal choice and certainly more people muttering or talking to themselves than before. Witnessed road rage years ago on Ladbrook Grove in broad daylight - memory still haunts me!!
