I am definitely GETTING old. I spend FAR too much time expounding on how great M and S merino thermals are. ("Recommended by the motorbike mags you know..." - Oh dear God- there I go again).

I think I may have to take to my bed as I can't bear the thought of stumbling round Dulwich in *shudder*...HEELS! Urgh.

D_C I don't think you want to marry me. From the replies I have had on here, it appears that I may in fact be Sebastian's frumpy sister Cordelia.

Oh man, I'm out of it for a day and all this going on?

WQ - wedges - ooh, looky looky but is comfort all it's cracked up to be?

This discussion seemed to bloom while I was having the lady equivalent of a waking wet dream in Liberty's shoe department last night. Hie thee hence - they even have some great flats (who knew such a thing were possible?)

and D_C - absolutely go for the hat, absolutely definitely. There's not enough raffish insouciance in East Dulwich I think. A little debonair style goes a long way

The answer is no; sadly this does not stop my other half from wearing one....

Perfect wee quinnie, Uncle Jah is right. Go to one of those blingtastic nail bars on the Walworth Road and get yourself a glossy pedicure for ?20, then go to Westfield and buy yourself some virtiginous strappy sandals. You are so slim and elegant sweetie, go and show off.

Looks a bit draughty DM. What the hell, I'll turn the heating up full blast.

    • I don't know if this is the right section to put this, but if you see anybody sleeping rough in this freezing cold, you can alert an organisation who will help via this link https://thestreetlink.org.uk/ Shelters have been set up in London for them. This is from an email I got today: London has been facing dangerously cold temperatures. For those sleeping rough, this weather can be life-threatening. London’s Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) has been activated throughout this week to ensure warm, safe emergency accommodation has been available for those who need it. StreetLink connects people sleeping rough with local outreach teams who assess their needs and offer support services. By making a report, you could save someone’s life.
    • Looks like the flats were built on the same footprint.
    • I'm going to add a fourth recommend for Rob Mills. A while back he did my boiler check and was so much more thorough than the previous boiler engineers I'd used, also taking the time to explain everything he was doing and why, which was extremely reassuring. Then this last weekend, when it was freezing cold,  my boiler stopped working early on Saturday morning and was throwing out error messages that I couldn't resolve. He walked me through various steps to try via text message and resolved the issue for me with no charge. I was incredibly grateful and honestly, highly recommend him.
    • My daughter is trying to find a multi vitamin for my granddaughter who is a very fussy eater. Basically she's living on yoghurt, breadsticks & banana's at the moment. Can anyone recommend a vitamin? Preferably one that's nice tasting if its liquid form. Thank you
