He throws her a bone, ?a souvenir? he calls it; it is, literally, a charred bone from Grandier?s body that looks very much like a cock and balls. In another censored scene restored, Mother Jeanne uses it as a dildo to commune with the man she loved and destroyed.

Thought I'd actually look at the definition as I expect many confuse dildos and vibrators. Still reminds me of silly conversations when I was in my early teens at school and a fave silly joke about the lady who had a 'strapadictomy' operation. Interesting to hear that dildos are banned in some Southern US states.


So wiki defines this as


A dildo is a device designed for vaginal or anal penetration, usually solid and phallic in shape. Some expand this definition to include vibrators. Others exclude penis prosthetic aids, which are known as "extensions". Some include penis-shaped items clearly designed with vaginal penetration in mind even if they are not true approximations of a penis. Agreed; with or without a dildo, according to their own preference. I don't usually bother using mine as it's quicker by hand :-)

      I think it's a good idea and follows the example of other towns/areas. As it says in the article, the area around the main tourist attractions in Southwark, that is The Globe, Southwark Cathedral, Tate Modern and the whole walking route from London Bridge to Blackfriars, takes a lot of maintaining and it shouldn't be a burden on regular council tax payers like us.
