Traffc lights outside ED Sainsburys are broken

I am glad to read it. Whenever traffic lights are not working, I have witnessed people driving more carefully. Fewer accidents happen. Which tells us.... get rid of the lot of them!

I actually thought it was potentially very dangerous whilst driving there today. So many accidents happen in that area that it is quite frightening as to what may happen now ther are no working traffic lights. There aren't even any - admittedly vile - temporary traffic lights!!!

Well that's Good. Means people will actually stop and slow down and concentrate on their driving instead of letting traffic lights do their thinking for them.

I don't understand the bus lane there. I mean, when you approach from ED station, when exactly are you allowed to pull in to turn left into Sainsburys? The only option appears to be at the last minute (i.e. about 15 yards before turning), but then you get people who just drive up it meaning you have to 'push in' and are thus waiting and obstructing traffic going straight on.

If there's a solid white line on the bus lane you shouldn't be in that part of it during its hours of operation (and that one's 24 hours). Where there's a broken line or no line you can move into the bus lane to turn left.

Understand, but that means there are only about 15 to 20 yards to nip into the lane turning left, meaning that you're holding up all the traffic going straight on. Also, you'll find that people go up the inside lane (i.e. they break the law)and you have to cut into them. It's daft!
