Back on topic - I understand that an item of value was stolen from the belongings of a member of staff there. Just goes to show - we may live in a lovely leafy suburb but there are always rogues with an eye on the main chance. Keep an eye on your stuff, even if it is stored where others aren't meant to stray.

Just goes to show if you don't keep your stuff safe some bugger'll have it away in the winkle of an oyster.

Are you saying 'Nunhead' to that old woman? Oh, what sad times are these when passing ruffians can say `Nunhead' at will to old ladies. There is a pestilence upon this land, nothing is sacred.

Moos the only way to put it right is for the whole EDF to raise their voices in an hour long version of Kum By Yah.

You lead, we'll follow.

    • Hi. I’d like a recommendation for a driving instructor please? Manual car. Ideally patient and not costing the earth.    thanks in advance
    • I wonder if anyone can help.  My age 16 child has been forced to leave school due to prolonged ill health, onset after Covid.  It’s incredibly isolating and I was wondering if they are any local clubs (art perhaps) for her age group, or just meet ups in the area- perhaps other children out of school/ home educated who would be keen to meet.  Anything very active is out of the question- so sports wouldn’t be possible.  I’d be very interested in speaking to other parents in my position about how they manage.
    • I inherited an electric awning.  It's fab in this extreme weather in my south facing garden. Canvas now decrepit and needs replacing.  Over stretched. Anyone done this - know of anyone who can do this? Advice much appreciated. K.
    • I think that presumption's a false one and that there's no such requirement.  If in doubt try asking 'Who can make a planning application?'   So it's firm evidence at most of just their belief that they might be  setting up shop there.  Putting in an early anticipatory application for their display signage, to lessen any dead time waiting for the permission, might well be a worthwhile expense.  They don't seem to have withdrawn the application, so are at least presumably still interested in taking over the premises.
