TillieTrotter
Just had a twenty note refused. Remembered that I had got it from Budgens first thing this morning. I went in and explained my case and the manager swopped it straight away which was really good of him. Apparently they are having lots of problems with this and he said he's trying to get all of his staff to be vigilant.Check your change guys. Mick Mac
Tillie - to get a ?20 note as change you are paying with a ?50 note? I don't have any of those - to be honest I have only ever had one of them ever...but thanks for the warning, I get my cash from the ATM which I'm sure is not safe but at least I know to go to the bank if ever one turns out to be dodgy. Jeremy
Where I used to work there was a cash machine which would always give out 50s. I never liked having them, I rarely pay cash for anything worth over ?20 (except petrol).
