Recommendations for Sunburn cure

I've been buying Nivea bronzer whilst laying in the sun, the tinted stuff. However, I don't think it's helping much and I've got quite bad sunburn now. I stupidly always forget to use UV protection cream. Any hints for severe sun burn on arms and chest?

Hi, I have found Aloe Vera gel to be soothing if it is not too sore to apply.

Thanks for the tips. No it's cloudy today, this is from a few days ago and it's got worse not better and the skin is peeling. Tried aftersun and no joy.

I was in Ramsgate on Sunday and in the sun for 3-4 hours..

I was using Factor 20 and I am quite dark skinned..

You need to be careful. Sunburn is dangerous.. I would advice going to the local pharmacy..

Definitely aloe Vera gel. Very cooling.

Cold damp tea bags dabbed over the sunburn.... Google it, it works. Pain free in no time.

I seem to recall that yoghurt and cornflour is a traditional Greek cure. Just don't go out in public or people will think there are ghosts in East Dulwich.
