How much do you pay / charge for childminder after school pick up?

How much is it usually for a childminder to do an after school pick up? Is it presumably on the basis that it's for 3:30-6:00 or could you potentially pick up earlier (5 or 5:30 say) and pay less or is it a set rate? Does the rate include tea? Many thanks

It all depends on your contract with your childminder but for the few hours between pick up from school and collection time from your childminder it's a difficult time.

If you have a set time in your contract but pick up your child earlier than that's up to you. You will still need to pay the childminder.

I always paid ?10 an hour and always for a minimum of 3 hours, to make it worth her while.

If I came home early, she was still paid ?30.

I've made enquiries in Penge where I live. Sixteen pounds for pick up until 6pm with 'tea' thrown in.

Or 12 pounds for after school club attached to school.
