Here are the most and least happy postcodes, according to the study

Happiest:

SW6 ? Fulham, Parson's Green

SE19 ? Upper Norwood, Crystal Palace, Norwood New Town

SE21 ? Dulwich Village, West Dulwich

SW13 ? Barnes, Castelnau

SE22 ? East Dulwich

?Least Happy':

SW17 ? Tooting

E1 ? Aldgate, Whitechapel, Mile End

SW8 ? Nine Elms, Vauxhall, South Lambeth

WC1 ? Bloomsbury, Gray?s Inn

SE17 ? Walworth, Elephant and Castle

Interesting!

I'm guessing the researchers omitted to read the EDF Lounge postings of some of the regular moaners, complainers and nay-sayers!

Out in the real world though, this doesn't surprise me - ED/SE22 is a great place to live. I love it.

Happiest because maybe their house prices are going up the fastest? But either way, it's good to know we're happy on this side of the river. Walking through Peckham Rye Park this afternoon, everyone seemed so happy!

Perhaps I should of mentioned in the 'Where has summer gone ' thread that I'm off to Turkey next week

where Summer is...

... but whilst on the subject of 'Wrist action' Heyhem. it may be worth mentioning that anyone travelling

to Turkey should not buy T-shirts with '31' on them.

Otuz bir is 31 in Turkish and Otuz birci is a thirty-oner. and a 31er is a W****r.

Otuz bir ?ekiyor he pulls 31 times.

They tell you 31 is a lucky number in Turkey... They think its a right hoot..

Foxy..

31 is the new 100.

    • Naaah, it's rubbish - it would be a change of use so would need planning. https://www.planningdirect.co.uk/planningappeals/affordable-planning-applications/change-of-use/commercial-to-takeaway-change-of-use There's not enough footfall for a McDonalds, anyway, and they're quite picky about their sites
    • So let's never do anything that might improve an area, because it will just be dragged down to the level of what's presently there? Is that what you are saying? I don't have the time or the inclination to do the research, but I'm pretty sure that I have read  that when people who had lived in a very run down area  were given  nice surroundings, they appreciated and looked after them.

    • No, it's the AA. https://www.nationalworld.com/arts-and-culture/these-are-the-uks-best-outdoor-pools-and-lidos-new-lido-league-reveals-top-swimming-spots-5218853  "Experts from The AA analysed 164 lidos and outdoor pools for the average monthly Google search volumes, average Google review scores, Instagram tags, entry and parking fees, as well as the average maximum temperature and hours of summer sunlight at each location, to determine the very best swimming spots across the UK."
