No definitely not dengue fever, my ex had that in Malaysia following a dodgy mosquito net in some vile hotel in a city in Sumatra (country dropping) whose name escapes me but where I never want to go again, grammar, and was very much iller than this!

I'm not worried about any of it, just interested to know whether anybody had had the sore eyes as part of the other bug.

But thanks all :)

Yep, been off with it today, very hot, headache, sore tummy, sicky feeling, and throbbing painful eyes... feeling better after a day in bed with curtains drawn (and cat on my feet!). Got to go to work tomorrow as I'm a temp and every hour I count how much it's costing me!

Day 5 and tummy is still grumbling and cramping :-| glad there's this thread - thought there was something not quite right with me! ::o

Hayfever is not so much an illness lenk. Allergies are terrible but we learn to live with it (with a bag full of all sorts of concoctions to fight the invasion of irritants) *sighs*

xxxxxxx

Seems to be very variable in both intensity and duration.

Don't understand those who can't see the point of this thread - I thought I had food poisoning when it started, then I thought I might have something else wrong with my eyes.

It was comforting to find that other people had the same symptoms and it was all part of the bug.

If you don't want to read the thread - erm, then don't. Same as I don't read the threads on the forum which are of no interest to me :)

I don't post on them making rude remarks about why the thread is there and the characteristics of the people posting :)

The forum would be pretty clogged up if everyone did that, innit :))

you're right. nobody should post in those threads. even if they contain beyond-hilarious posts alluding to Dengue fever.

I didn't actually think people 'spat tea at their screens', when I read that milk was pretty much frothing out of my nose.

    • What a bunch of pieholes. 2025 and you peasants have nothing to be grateful for. I have been inside the library recently and honestly the old girl is crying for a facelift, the goddamn carpet looks like it survived the world war and some. The Library is one of the oldest in Southwark and you are crying about a study place? What a bunch of bullshit. You have libraries all around you for your kids to go their studying you rotten sausage. How about be happy that the library is going to look absolutely stunning rather than be a whining bitch about it   Also, I have been told that the staffs have to work in the smaller libraries together. How do you think they feel?
    • I would like to recommend Aaron, who has just finished 5 days plastering work in my house. He is professional , polite, tidy, punctual and reliable. He did a fantastic job, a good price and a top quality finish. Highly recommended! Aaron Manser 07773 410661
    • Sadly, but not unreasonably, councils find it difficult to justify such expenditure on their current budgets. My family, which does like fireworks have been enjoying the displays by those still with disposable wealth by viewing them from Hilly Fields. Other hills (Dawson Heights) are available. For children who have autumn and winter birthdays, a firework display is some consolation for their birthday climate. My grandchildren, being summer babies, can enjoy garden parties and picnics. Without the need for explosions and dazzling display.
