It's complicated.

The currency here in Turkey is the Turkish Lira.

For every day things it's the T. Lira.

For larger trans actions like buying a house then probably euros.

You can spend sterling here.

You cannot easily buy a beer with euros,

Because it's funny and clever?

A few weeks ago you said on another thread that you were going to Turkey for your holiday for six weeks and would be giving us all a rest by not posting on the EDF. Didn't last long did it. For your own sake stop posting on here and enjoy yourself while you're away instead of staring into your iPod.

It was one of those things I could never have thought of saying, but wish I had.

Ah. I thought it was a strange malfunction of your iPod's text software :))

ETA: Posted from my garden :)

ETA: I think you mean figure of speech? Never heard of it. Is it the ouzo speaking? Xx

Well I posted here a friendly update.

It was almost immediately removed.

Admin. I'm sure your watching . Am I banned. Why are my inoffensive posts being removed.

Please advise what the situation is ?

There is obviously one Moderat?r doing this just because they can,

Yours sincerely

This is DF's life

Next he'll be comparing Kebabs with Stab & Wine

*sad smiley*

Well I have given up. You guys collectively have won.

I can post in the word game and song remains the same thread

Anywhere else my posts are removed. Simple.

Or do not appear .

This may be spared purely to prove me wrong.

And WHY shouldn't I post just because I'm away ?

Foxy you are sounding pretty paranoid right now.

For what it's worth, I don't think there is.anything wrong with checking in whilst you're away, I remember posting from Australia years ago.

But starting a thread to basically say "no one here knows about East Dulwich, and I'm not giving it a second thought whilst I'm here" does seem a bit ironic.

Can someone start a "I'm posting whilst on holiday thread"

That way we can all join in on the fun the contibuting poster is having whilst "on holiday"

I'm off to stuff my face in San Sebastian in August and i'll be posting between mouthfuls

Feel free to tell me to fuck off

    • Let's hope Planet Aid's current workers aren't forced to make "voluntary" contributions to the cult, then. "Patrick Goteka was working for a charity in Zimbabwe when, in 2006, his employer offered him a big break - the chance to transfer to the US. Goteka, who would be working as a manager in the recycled clothes business, knew the move would mean sacrifices - separating him from his wife and three children. But he says he didn't bank on also having to join a cult-like organisation - the Teachers Group - and surrender a chunk of his monthly salary when he took on his new role." https://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-36940384 https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-36953455
    • Kyjah did my garden at my flat and then I moved house and lost his number and came on here to find it again.    He recently completed installing a new driveway in the front of our house. It was a concreted front garden and he turned it into a double car driveway with paving, exactly what we wanted him to do.    He then did our back garden and has done an amazing job. Laying a new patio, raised beds, seated areas and new lawn. The back we asked him to leave as we plan to get a cabin installed.    I searched Kyjah out as he did such an amazing job at my flat and he was the only person I trusted to do the work at our new house. He’s reliable, hard-working and brings your vision to life. I’ve attached some before and after pics
