These screenings look fab but I was wondering what people's experience of them are from last year? Especially interested in the premium dinghys for two!

And finally, if anyone has spare tickets to the Jaws showing (premium tickets or otherwise) on Thurs 16th July (or the Sept showing), or has any knowledge about how I could score a couple then I would love to take them off your hands!

I hope you get your tickets..

We went a couple of years ago and it was great- must admit the concrete didn't bother us- we brought cushions and a blanket. We had been contemplating the premium tickets but on the night we were relieved that we'd just gone for the standard- premium ticket holders were 'seated' in their dinghys last and so had to wobble into them precariously in front of everyone! Also didn't look very convenient when they had to paddle their way in for loo breaks!

Lastly, not sure how it was last year, but when we went they specified no food or drink on the premises- we were miffed on the day as has to queue for 40mins for refreshments when EVERYBODY around us had brought picnics..

Good luck!

    • My mum (91 years young!) well remembers going to Austin's as a child, which she described as an 'Aladdin's Cave'!  She absolutely loved it - and is still a shopping fiend to this day (I 'blame' Austin's 😉). Going back up Peckham Rye, passing Austin's on your right hand-side, just past Phillips Walk (so not far from Austin's at all), I believe there was a British Relay Wireless shop - this would have been in the late 1930s/early 1940s.  Does anyone know anything about this? My grandad (my mum's dad) used to manage it; it was severely damaged in The Blitz - but I am having trouble locating it.  Mum's memory is dim (she was 6 at the time); she originally thought it was in Rye Lane, but we think now it was in Peckham Rye just up from Phillips Walk (originally Phillips Road).
    • Thanks everyone, this will need to be reported again as the fox was still mobile and walking down the road when last seen... hopefully someone will spot and report.
