Meat liquor has a similar connotation really, it's been embraced and delivers a great service. As will this pussey liquor if people allow it to!

I like the idea of the place - rotating residencies and a good wine/drinks list. Would like to try it some time.

The current menu is ?33 for 3 courses, which really isn't particularly high end. But value is in the eye of the beholder, and if a curry/kebab/pizza is more your cup of tea then it's probably not aimed at you (there are plenty of other places that are).

Still hate the name though... it's not too late to change it! Think of it as embracing community feedback.

This secretive pose by Pussy Galore reminds me of the Private Shop sex shop chain (don't know whether it still exists) that caused a big fuss in Lewisham many moons ago. And that seemed to be patronised by men wearing dirty macs.

I'm actually shocked that a slightly blue name and a bit of frosted glass can cause such outrage in our modern age. Its london, it's 1932 (apparently).....

It's a restaurant serving food. No creepy guys in macs like the place zebedee used to go to in lewisham. Just nice food, nice drinks, friendly service.

Whats happened to not judging things on first appearance. If you did that about a person you'd be called a fool..

The problem is when you're a restaurant that relies on people going through the door, having a door that no one wants to go through is a problem.

IT's very hard to tell whether you are going to enjoy yourself in Pussey Liquor from the street. The Placement of the menu is awkward, you can't see the space you'll be eating in and the name doesn't give any clue at what to expect.

Let's pretend for a moment the place is called "unicorn binlid" - it would still not be somewhere that i'd be heading into out of curiosity.

The idea is good, unfortunately I feel the execution is lacking at the moment. I wish them much success though, and it's not too late to change.

10 of us celebrated my husband's birthday there not last Friday but the Friday before - Chloe and the other 2 girls are lovely, food was amazing and atmosphere great. So many people have great things to say about this place (we went on recommendation), it's worth giving it a go before you slate it IMO - for whatever reason.
