Pussey Liquor bar new to the Lane

Recommended Posts

I have not eaten the food. It looks good, smoke and salt know what they are doing. I've also not commented on the food - I haven't tried it.

I have commented on other things that have stopped me trying the food. I don't intend to write a review until I have eaten the food. That doesn't stop me letting you know why I haven't been based on other factors.

The only way to get reviews online is by getting people through the door. At the moment it seems like Joe Public does not feel comfortable going through the door. A real shame.

Anyway, seems like either I'm being trolled, or we are on different sides of a fence. I am going to have to get over myself and pop in after payday to try the food. Then I can give an opinion on the inside as well as the outside.

Thanks for your support Jeremy. I'll see you for some nosh in Pussey Liquor to say thanks! There's no where better for eating out. Snarf, Snarf.

Seconded

V funny post too, I laughed out loud

:))

I don't care if it fails or not.. Its success is in its own hands....

I don't see anyone outside with promotional leaflets or sample food as many/most have done.

They have chosen to make the place as inhospitable as possible.

It looks like a private club. There is nothing to draw you in..

A new business that supposedly opens only Wednesday to Saturday, 1800h-2300h and then does not stick to those times.

I am not the only one who has expressed concern over P.L. but see no criticism towards them..

Jeremy, thank you too for your support, I shall always wear it.

Assuming of course that you were supporting me as well as Baggs.

Sorry, MattC, but you were responsible for the initial attacks on, or criticisms of, me and others (or whatever you might wish to call them). I didn't criticise you first but only responded to your personal attack on me. If the "discussion" (as you call it) has become ludicrous, you only have yourself to blame. You should be more tolerant of other people's choices and tastes and not resort to personal attacks on them if their views differ from yours.

I would be very happy not to continue this "discussion".

How about drowning your sorrows at your favourite restaurant? (No names, no pack drill).

Walked past last night.. They have now removed the top half of the blanked out window enabling one to see in/out.

Something I suggested from the start.

Vast improvement to the aesthetics of the place. Now looks welcoming. Interior looks nice. Place was full 9.00pm.

I suspect more people will now try it out.

I don't know .

Have YOU tried PL ? To even know what like for like is.

Foxy

You could buy some chicken and make a curry at home, plus the other bits

All this for about a tenner

Then sit at home grimp on the forum about the price you've paid for what ever

Seriously, i'm about to pull me teeth out with pliers, so I can save the money I don't really need to save

I'll keep you posted, right down to the last ?2

Well I don't need to have tried PL to be 100% sure that its menu and wine list bear no resemblance whatsoever to those of the Dulwich Tandoori :))

I ate exactly that when I went to Pussey Liquor for dinner and it was absolutely delicious. Seriously good cooking combining great flavours and textures using quality ingredients made it worth every penny.

I've eaten at Dulwich Tandoori. Which was perfectly okay if you like that sort of thing.

Horses for courses. I'd rather spend my money on one excellent meal at a gaff like Pussey Liquor than three meals at a fairly bog standard Indian.

So would I, though it is going to take quite a lot to get me through the door with that terrible name :(

And the last time I went to Dulwich Tandoori, its standards of both food and service seemed to have dropped considerably. Maybe they were having an off night :(

Free Internet and university places for youngsters. What were his other manifesto pledges? Why all the ambiguity over Brexit?  I didn't like Thatcher, Blair or May or Tony but I respected them as politicians because they stood by what they believed in. I respect all politicians across the board that stick to their principles. Corbyn didn't and its why he got  annihilated at the polls. A socialist, anti imperialist and anti capitalist that said he voted for an imperialist and pro capitalist cabal. He refused to say how he'd vote over and over again until the last knockings. He did so to appease the Islington elite and middle class students he was courting. The same people that were screaming that Brexit was racist. At the same time the EU were holding black and Asian immigrants in refugee camps overseas but not a word on that! Corbyn created and courted a student union protest movement that screamed at and shouted down anyone not on the left . They claimed Starmer and the centre right of labour were tories. He didn't get elected  because he, his movement and policies were unelectable, twice. He turned out not to have the convictions of his politics and died on his own sword.    Reform won't win an election. All the idiots that voted for them to keep out Labour actually enabled Labour. They'll be back voting tory next time.    Farage wouldn't be able to make his millions if he was in power. He's a very devious shyster but I very much doubt he'd actually want the responsibility that governance requires.
