Mick Mac
Someone has taken ?2 off me at 500/1 on Rip for the Arc - and fair enough he prob won't run but who wants to take a 500/1 risk like that. It's not you is it Quids? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/6740-betting-matters/page/18/#findComment-246659 Share on other sites

Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> You've an emotional attachment to losing on that> horse MickI think I'm possibly doing ok on Rip. Its STS that I should not have opposed. Just took me a while to believe he was as good as he was. Of course I will be a big loser on Rip if he does not win the QEII as I might make that my big bet of September. I'm only a few quid negative for September, so might as well sort that out soonish. Mick Mac
So who is going to win the Leger - have a friend visiting and we are going to bet big tomorrow - please advise... Kells
I think it will be Kite Wood. But I'm putting my money on over 2.5 goals in the Spurs/Man U game instead, so we'll see. So lay both of them, that's probably the safest option! red devil
No big bets for me Mick, but as I said before Kite Wood will be strongly fancied for the Leger now that Age of Aquarius has withdrawn. Will stick to footy today, see how I get on with the 3.00 kick-offs, and hopefully 'invest' any winnings on the Spurs v Utd match...good luck! Mick Mac
Mourayan is tipped - coming in to 6s in the betting. Same stable as STS. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/6740-betting-matters/page/18/#findComment-247160 Share on other sites

Kells
I fancy Yeats as well. Did cross my mind that Mourayan is from the same yard as Sea The Stars, but I'm in danger of turning into a John Oxx groupie. But no more bets for me either. Mick Mac
>:DPs. Kite wood gave frankie a good run in the leger and a good race. Bit disappointing at the time. Mick Mac
Goldikova is the favourite for the QEII - just better than evens. Rip is 2/1. After today I have funds to let Rip with next Saturday. Mick Mac
Probably too early - but put half my stake on at a range of 2.9 to 3.35 - could not help myself. Will put the rest on when I'm sure he will run but the odds are now 2.0 on betfair - I seem to have taken the odds down from 3.35 to 2.0 :-$ but there was not much capacity available. Mick Mac
Ayr must be the only racetrack where the races start in a housing estate. Not betting Quids - but will look out for yours. Coral spokesman David Stevens explained the reasoning behind Rip Van Winkle's short price, he said: "Having chased home the mighty Sea The Stars three times this season, Rip Van Winkle sets the standard in our opinion."However, the presence of Delegator and Aqlaam should ensure Saturday's race provides a stern test for Aidan O'Brien's charge."Of the other four withdrawn at the five-day stage, Goldikova, who will contest theTotal Prix de la Foret on October 3, was the most notable.Queen Elizabeth II StakesCoral: 10-11 Rip Van Winkle, 9-4 Delegator, 5-1 Aqlaam, 16-1 Famous Name, Zacinto, 25-1 Virtual, 33-1 Poet, 150 Windsor Palace, 200 Set Sail Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/6740-betting-matters/page/18/#findComment-250460 Share on other sites
