This is exactly why I am enjoyimg my 50th year watching Sport since The 1960 Grand National and 1961 Cup Final.

3 Hours 57 Minutes that enthralled, enraptured and enthused all who ran through the whole gamut of emotions with Andy.

Here's too the next round...>:D<

He's got a foul mouth on him. I saw him shout 'c*nt' at least three times. Soap and water, Murray, soap and water.

No! "Our" Andy actually said "You Can't" its short for "You Can NOT be serious" as I understand a former Tennis Star used to say....

Soon will be.

If you had perused his kit bag really closely you would have seen a brochure extolling the virtues of Chatham Docks where my informants tell me he is hoping to put down a deposit on a nearby residence....

Well, sweeping generalisation, but stereotypically men are thought to be more interested in what a woman looks like (young and fit = good mother), women more interested in how powerful / wealthy a man is (good provider for the family).

I can't say I have ever gone out with guy for his money and I am sure there are plenty of other women who are not motivated by money... but I guess the stereotype might have some element of truth about it! I mean, look at the women who seem to be obsessed with what the WAGS lifestyle is like - famous only for spending their footballer husband's money in most cases!

Think you missed a bit Indie

Men like women who are: young and fit = [good for sex for 5 years and then] = good mother.

Think some women like the glamourous WAGS lifestyle - but think most women take as they find and if they love the man and his personality they will stick with him unless he turns out to be a complete loser.

You see, thats me always giving women the benefit of the doubt...

Do bears do poo-poohs in the woods? :))

Reading between the lines I got put in my place very recently.

By complete accident I met up, in October 2008 with someone who went off 33 years ago, in 1976, "with someone much older" when I was seeing her "on and off".

We have met frequently since that incredible fluke that we met up again ( I won't bore you with the details but it was 1,000-1 shot--spooky if you believe in "fate") ...anyway the Guy has died and left her a massive Detached House in Hampshire to add to the even bigger detached house that I visited last week in Park Langley, Bromley which was left to her by her Parents.

We went to that Docklands Show on the water and then she slipped in the magic phrase "Anyone who settles down with someone who is NOT in the same financial situation as themselves is mad...." lol...I can take a hint...:))

Sweeping generalisations always miss a lot, and my comments were tongue in cheek about both sexes. I don't think I have ever known a friend of mine reject a guy for not being a good earner though I have known the odd or two who really do expect a guy to always pay on dates which seems a bit old fashioned to me.

    • @alice I suggest you reserve judgement until you've experienced it yourself.
    • Yes, I've never bought a  phone that was locked to a specific network. So as far as I know,I can just stick any SIM card in my old mobile. I think it still works, but there must have been some reason why I bought a new one. I think I wanted something with more storage capacity. I hardly ever make actual phone calls, I usually use WhatsApp or texts or emails, but clearly if my main phone is stolen I would need to make various phone calls ASAP. I was just going to get a cheap card from Argos, so I'm not sure anybody there would know! The actual mobile I use is on a SIM only contract with iD, so maybe I should just ask them. I don't care about the number as it's only for occasional use. I've had my main mobile number ever since I've had a mobile, so around 25 years, and I do care about that number as it's very easy to remember,  so I've moved it around whenever I've changed providers  Oh, really? I thought there were just two sizes and if you needed the smaller one you just took off the surrounding bit? Surely mobiles take a SIM card for any network, otherwise you could never change network without changing your phone?
    • No, the behaviour exhibited on the Rye, and now maybe neighbouring roads, goes far beyond 'age old silly behaviour'. It is intimidation.
    • Thanks, I will look at OKR too
