Jacqui5254
Would appreciate any recommendations for a long-ish Sunday brunch this weekend.I realise that, come 12md, brunch becomes a big roast Sunday lunch so anwhere that allows brunch past 12 would be appreciated.Near Lordship Lane would be ideal....thanks!Jacqui. Jah Lush
Isn't the bottomless brunch at The Expo only on a Saturday? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/70594-sunday-brunch-before-it-becomes-sunday-lunch/#findComment-887759 Share on other sites
Cedges
Pedler do brunch quite late after 12. Actually I don't know of anywhere locally that purports to serve brunch and stops before 2 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/70594-sunday-brunch-before-it-becomes-sunday-lunch/#findComment-887809 Share on other sites
numbers
oh dear...I've become all nostalgic for lazy Sundays in ED with hibbs & giggirl. House of Tippler did a cracking brunch with good coffee and the obligatory bloody mary. http://www.houseoftippler.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/House_Of_Tippler_Weekend-Food-Spring-2015.pdf Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/70594-sunday-brunch-before-it-becomes-sunday-lunch/#findComment-887819 Share on other sites
Seabag
I'm fond of toastED myself Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/70594-sunday-brunch-before-it-becomes-sunday-lunch/#findComment-888047 Share on other sites
Jacqui5254
Thanks for the recommendations! Decided on ToastED. Delicious breakfast...granola,coffee, eggs, bacon, avocado on toast [partic. delicious altho' the toasted bread was so hard I couldn't cut through it, even with a steak knife].Plenty of friendly and helpful staff around but we happen to have a slightly dozy member..[obvious that the staff on late Saturday night were trying to function on Sunday morning!].Still, the place continues to have a good reputation in my book.Must go more often. Jeremy
Both Pedler and Toasted do an awesome brunch. The options at Toasted are a bit "lighter", I guess in line with the overall style of food (they don't have a full gut-buster fry-up on the menu like Pedler do) but I love them both.Andersons on Bellenden Rd also continue their weekend brunch into the afternoon. The cooked breakfast is basically scrambled eggs with a choice of various additions (bacon/salmon/avocado/etc). And a couple of other options like french toast, yoghurt with berries.. and grapefruit served with granita is an interesting one. Jeremy
Our next door neighbours' parents (rural types) are house sitting for them. Was chatting to them yesterday and they thought it was absolutely hilarious that we were going out for breakfast. "What's wrong with your kitchen?" they asked in disbelief. Caught up with them later in the day, "How was your breakfast?," the guy howled.
