Open Mic??

Hey anyone know any places locally that do a good open Mic night? I moved to the area a few months back and haven't found any yet.

One of my colleagues takes part in the open mic at The Joiners Arms most Thursdays - he said it can range from the sublime to the ridiculous,but is usually a good night.

Nothing regular in ED, but there have been various music nights at the Hamlets, sometimes incorporating open mic stuff.

There have also been a couple of open mic nights at the Plough, perhaps that could be a more regular thing if there was the demand. Speak to Keef about this one...

Yeah we used to do open mics at the plough, but since my partner in crime moved out of London, and my daughter arrived, I've not got my arse in to gear to sort it out. We sis it once a month, and got some great acts coming along.

Problem was that the plough never had their own PA, despite constantly saying they were going to get one. Got very very annoying!

I think the Magnolia might be doing something on Fridays, but have yet to get down there.
