"My mother-in law always 'ated me. I thought I'd make an effort to get round her next time she stayed.

Trouble was, me boss wouldn't give me a month off".

*realises that there are quite a number of birds in tonight*

*observes that many of the birds are of similar 'build' to self*

*makes cowardly reference to Ben Elton*

Is that SIR Ben Elton, now?

Seriously, is it?

*realises he's not going to distract birds of this size quite so easily*

*looks into mid distance and mutters 70% cocoa solids - FREE?*

*escapes in the ensuing melee/ruckus/ruck*

    • It was a reactionary post and inappropriate when talking about a real case and a real person who was harmed.  London streets are generally pretty safe.  Sadly violent crime happens from time to time, as it always has.
    • Do tell, CPR Dave, what the spiteful jealous stuff is - I'm intrigued.  Agree - Burnham is a top class communicator (polar opposite of Starmer) he'd do a great job of uniting the party. I still think Wes Streeting has the edge, though I'm sure he has more enemies as well.
    • This is a huge part of the problem.   Starmer is only interested in himself, not in what is best for our country.    There's a litany of stuff he's done for spiteful jealous personal reasons which has damaged the nation enormously. Burnham would be a much better leader than of the other dross left behind when Starmer goes. To inflict a worse leader (and PM) upon us for his own selfish reasons would add to the problems and be entirely in keeping with his woeful premiership so far.
    • I heard today there was a burglary in Lacon Road yesterday evening between 20.00 - 22.00,  apparently the owners were home at the time & thieves got away with electrical items along with the owners car!  Wtf!   Anyone heard anything else?
