A friendly mouse climbs up first and lets the snail into your drawers...

Creepy ehh....

  • 1 month later...
Man in hardware shop just told me that many mice and rats are now immune to the old standard poison, which I think was just (or mainly) warfarin and used to thin their blood until they died? All the shops all still selling the old stuff, knowing full well that it's not likely to work. Seems if you are leaving this stuff for them now though (Rodene was the type I used) you are just feeding them up.

I have a cat for hire. I won't feed her for a week, so she's good and ready. The trouble is, you'll need to get rid of any frogs and birds first, as she's partial to them. It amazes me how much of a mouse is edible. The only bits I ever find left are the intestines.

So there's a foolproof method, problem solved!

    • Hey fellow cat owners! Was hoping that you would consider putting collars with bells on your outside cats? I’ve wee fledglings in a nest and at the moment I’m defending them against an orange and white dude (I call him Trump) and his nemesis, a lovely Tuxedo cat (I call Elon)… they are quite the double act in my back garden!!!! It would give the wee ones a bit of a better chance if a bell could announce their approach. And as a feline owner myself, I know cats will be cats, but every little helps even the odds. many thanks.
