I'm also in your situation, but as Mr B pointed out, a fairly large part of it was from me turning into bit of control freak at the beginning after baby B born and wanting to take charge. Don't want to turn into nagging partner, but find myself sounding horribly like my mum at times... Got a cleaner though even though can barely afford it - so worth it!

That I am not susie homemaker and have no such aspirations cause a bit of friction in our house! I AM making an effort to keep things clean and tidy, but I would rather spend time doing fun things with bub. and, um, keeping up to date with the family room(s) on this fine forum...

I work also but only two or three (part)days per week so it is up to me I guess to keep house, it's just that my husband and I have different ideas of what a kept house is...

*sigh*

what i find interesting is if they want it cleaner well then clean it?? and the same goes with cooking. the amount of men who 'enjoy' cooking but get hacked off because their partners don't enjoy it. well, why don't you cook every day mr if you enjoy it? because i've never really heard of a woman getting moody because everyone else refuses to cook in the house...

i cam ask mr plimsoul to hang the laundry, or hoover etc... but is always i who initiate. at first he totally refused to get a dishwasher, but i ignored him. then he refused to get a cleaning lady but again i ignored him and we're all pleased that i went ahead without him!

    • Here to add my voice to those praising Temi. She just painted my dilapidated home office in ED and did a fantastic job in just two days in a much lighter colour, including woodwork, damp blocker and filling holes. She's efficient, on time and I barely heard a peep out of her; she just got on with the job. I recommend her wholeheartedly.
    • The residents & families of the estate are getting parking fines,  out of the blue , the residents parking system waa changed from Southern to Sippi with cameras put up in the car park and people issued with fines entering the estate for more then 10 minutes , families can no longer pick up or drop off family due to a new 10 minute wait fine. Residents are appealing with Sippi and Southern as there was no letters to consult of a parking change,  new waiting times or fines, delivery drivers are getting fines everyday,  if you get a fine,  appeal it, there is no signage up to say about parking fines or waiting time

    • How very dare you. Rest assured, if it were intended to be comedy, it would have been funny.
