WARNING: traffic horrendous between E&C and Camberwell

Not quite in ED, but thought it might affect some forumites.

Hubby just phoned. Has been stuck on no. 12 bus for nearly an hour...massive diversion at E&C - apparently Walworth Rd. has been closed off.

I think it's this

"WALWORTH ROAD SE17: From 0900 to 1600 on Sunday 2 August routes 12 35 40 45 68 148 171 176 and 468 will be diverted with severe delays while the Carnival del Pueblo passes along Walworth Road and Albany Road"

Possibly because of the Carnival de Pueblo which is taking place in Burgess Park this afternoon - I think it involved a parade down Walworth Road.

Yep, got caught in it today. And it was horrendous.

Road was open again by 5pm and got the bus to the Carneval. Had a great time dancing til dark!
