Venue for 40th

Can anyone recommend a venue in SE london for a 40th? Probably medium size with sound system...

any suggestions welcome!

The ivyhouse pub in nunhead, brilliant little venue, and not too pricey!

Recently had a big party at Off the Cuff in Herne Hill. We hired a band and had DJs (though we brought some additional sound - might not be necessary depending what you're going for). A bit rough and ready, but turned out well.

Went to a great space right by Loughborough Junction train station - Whirled Cinema - I wish I'd had my 40th there. Check it out.

The Palmerston has a function room with an extra room upstairs as well as a nice balcony/ terrace on the top
