The new version of the software does give you the option to close your account and we are hopefully upgrading the software in the next couple of months. However it does not delete the users' messages.

There have only been about six requests to close accounts in the last three years so that feature is not on the high priority list.

That's fair enough, although if all the people who've drifted away over time, had had the option, it may have been substantially higher than 6. Not sure I see the point now though, if all the posts stay on the board. Is there no way, other than one by one, these can be removed?

That would rather screw up the threads they were in! If people don't want their messages to be seen, don't post in the first place, I say!

There is (of course) the chance that Admin are being quite serious here...but I am taking it as a joke (apologies if mistaken).

    • Daily Mail?   More atmosphere down the road at Peckham FC aka Menace, Good video, sadly they day the Menace were relegated in the spring (Went to a lot of Dulwich games over the years but now more likely on the South Circular)
    • Some of you may have never been to a post office on a Saturday when one or more people are posting their ebay parcels and you wait yonks.  Just one of those things.  I'm more concerned about the speed of the Royal Mail.  I may start a thread on this!
    • If you're going British, Marks and Sparks do a fantastic Cornish Cruncher Cheddar (get the three year old if it's on offer) and a Stilton/Stichelton which are wrapped in something more like wax paper.  I'm pretty sure they used to do a Stinking Bishop which had minimal plastic wrapping, as well.
    • Thanks to everybody for the responses. Agree that £50-60 is somewhat excessive so supermarket is likely to be the route we take.
