I went to Locale on saturday night for the first time and was very impressed. French waiter very attentive and if I am not mistaken the prices have been reduced since they first opened? In any case both pizza and pasta dishes were devoured and the chocolate fondant pudding was to die for!

Pleased to hear it's not just me he's very rude to then.

I'm loath to return to the Herne even for a pint now.

Oh bloody hell, "old fashioned" eh, I remember when Joanna's opened :))

Yes I find Joanna's and Numidie both perfect for a build-up to the sexyness alluded to in the title of this thread.

Nothing in ED compares unfortunately if we're talking solely about what the venue itself offers to that motive.

I haven't been to Joanna's for years, so maybe it's changed, but isn't it quite family friendly at lunchtime?

I'm not sure that being surrounded by families and children is quite the sexy, intimate lunchtime atmosphere the OP seems to be looking for!

    • I haven't had a rude EVRI delivery but last week I had an unexpected delivery at 10.42 pm. He didn't ring the bell or knock on the door (or rattle the letter flap) but just took a photo and put the box down.  If it hadnt been for the door camera giving us a beep we would never have known there was a parcel ready to sit there all night.
    • Sorry if I’m being slow but there’s no point in having a gate then is there?  Would have thought it was basic manners to respect someone’s property

    • I have a rescue Spanish greyhound (galgo) from the charity mentioned above. You can contact Greyhounds in Need or one of the more local Kent greyhound rescue charities. They are fantastic family dogs. They do love walkies 2 or 3 times a day but they actually don't need to be walked too far and then they will happily loaf around on the sofa being very chill. They are brilliant with kids but not recommended if you own a cat as they have a strong prey drive. They also should be kept on the lead in local parks. They prefer to be around other sight-hounds (well my one does) and there are loads of local sighthound owners in Peckham, Crystal Palace etc and a very lively WhatsApp group that is brilliant if you need dog sitting as you can usually find someone to do that for free in return for you looking after the dog at a later date etc.
