Hi East Dulwich Forumites

Just wanted to let everyone know that a new WI group has popped up in Peckham. We're currently recruiting for new members so if you've ever been interested in what the WI do, maybe want to make some more local friends or learn new skills, please come along. I promise its not all flower arranging and making jam (though we might do that in the future :) )

Our next meeting takes place at 8-10pm at the Copleston Centre, Copleston Road on Tuesday 6th October.

Well we're a young group so we haven't decided exactly what we'd like to do yet. But anything from crafts to dance lessons to board games can be on the cards.

Bumping up the thread to remind everyone that our next meeting takes place on the 3rd November, same time, same place.

We'll be introducing our committee, taking a few votes, and running a 'get to know each other' session.

Please feel free to bring a long a friend. :)

Not us. That might be the East Dulwich WI.But they are massively oversubscribed, which is why we started one in nearby Peckham. :)

No that's Nunhead WI (although we're normally at The Old Nun's Head).

Sorry to intrude but how is 'wreath making' considered 'festive fun'? Are you expecting some funerals? Perhaps I should be giving this thread a wide berth as I may now become a marked man. Maybe that's what the festive fun is.......

Oh those.....but if they have holly in them it's supposed to symbolise the crown of thorns Jesus wore. The red berries being his blood. Either way it's not for pagans I guess.
