Last week after collection day, I noticed my door number had been scribbled on the wheelie bin lids in black marker pen. Bin already has large number on the front & road on the side. A bit strange I thought & scrubbed it off. Last night I noticed the numbers were back on the lids? Just wondered if anyone else has had their bins numbered or if it's just me? lol

I thought that too but no other bin has been numbered. That's why I think it's strange. The marker pen doesn't come off easily but I found nail varnish works & I've now wasted 2 of my new washing up sponges getting it off. I'm quite tempted to do a stake out to catch the culprit.

Why are you trying to remove it? They're presumably doing it for a reason and the bin belongs to the council.

I would check with the refuse collection team that it was them ..

Burglars chalk mark houses 'Da Pinchi Code.' to target the rich and vulnerable..

I don't want to alarm people but maybe a new way of marking homes..

Hopefully it was the refuse collectors.. but why selective marking.. Better to be aware.

Almost certainly an urban myth...

Ahahahahahahaha!!! BRILLIANT! Maybe there's a sophisticated group of Pontefract burglars surveilling East Dulwich and being so infosec-conscious that they only communicate with each other by marking their targets' bins with felt tip with a secret code consisting of...the house number.

So why mark just selected bins and not all.. None of my neighbours bins have numbers or have been marked.. ?

    • I’m basing it on the fact that Jeremy Corbyn had repeatedly and on record said he is against mandatory vaccinations in any situation, and he wouldn’t disclose wether he had the Covid vaccine himself    as I said. Not as bad as his brother but very definitely a bit weird about the whole thing. Just say you had the vaccination Jeremy, say that everyone should and stop being weird in the middle of a global pandemic    it’s the same slippery evasive nonsense about Brexit and him. About Putin poisonings and him.     if you are happy with his evasiveness then you do you.  But there is a reason the country wouldn’t get behind him
    • It was my understanding that Jeremy Corbyn was embarrassed by his brother and had distanced himself from his brother's views. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Why on earth should "the overall view of that family inform Jeremy's response to the pandemic"? What exactly are you basing that assumption on?
    • I guess it's best to do what most Brits do these days, keep your head down and say nothing! although that's probably why this country is in the mess it is today!  😞
