Not right at all actually and I hate to be pedantic but you don't have liquor with jellied eels. Pie & mash certainly but not jellied eels.

He certainly looks like he's eaten all the pies though and he'd probably stink of stale lager too.

Its customary to have Vinegar and/or Pepper with Jellied Eyes but as I hate both, I eat them solo...

I never said Ray wouldn't have consumed Pie and mash. I just assumed he'd smell of Eel and parsley liquor, as they would be the most punjent of the triumvirate of east end staple.
