Dr Rosemany Leonard was talking about it on this morning's Breakfast News. She said the incubation period is 14 days but symptoms ususally present themselves at around 5 days, and this would be diarrhoea and feeling generally very unwell.

Hope all your kids are okay. Have happy memories of Godstone Farm.

This has certainly had it's fair share of news coverage hasn't it?! We were there on the 26th August, but thankfully neither of my children has had any ill effects - I've found it quite unnerving seeing pictures of the poor children in hospital and realising just how easily it could have been my babies.

Such a shame for the farm, we had a brilliant day there and I was planning to go back this week!

Everything is fine at Vauxhall City Farm.

Lambeth inspected last week and the farm passed the hygeine and safety test.

I have been running classes at the farm with under fives for 9 years and we have had no problems. We pet the animals and ensure that we all wash our hands at the sinks provided.

Please don't be put off visiting city farms in future. Just remember to wash your hands.

    • Well thanks for enriching the conversation.  Would you chuck Fah - rage in too for his tax avoidance on his property?   I expect it was lead story on Jeremy Vine too.  Doesn't make it a story, just a bit more of BBC tabloid style sensationalism.  There are numerous real news stories in the UK and across the world.  And now, apt for Halloween, you have summoned up the ghost of Louisa. So for the third time, will you now eat humble pie?
