President Barack Obama has labelled rap star Kanye West a "jackass" for interrupting Taylor Swift's winning speech at the MTV awards on Sunday.

Ohh dear !

West stormed the stage in New York to tell the crowd Beyonce should have won best female video prize.

So he's on the Charlie then ?

Since then he has called Swift personally to apologise.

After a crashing come down ?

Speaking before a press interview, Obama said: "I thought it was inappropriate, it's like she's getting an award, why are you butting in?"

So he's on the Charlie then ?

"The young lady seems like a perfectly nice person, she's getting her award, what's he doing up there?

Oh & The President of the United States "disses" you

Poor Ol' "Kanye do no wrong" seems life is throwing brickbats at him lately

Pray for him

And how was your day ?

I liked Kanye West after his first album College Dropout came out because he displayed talent. Unfortunately, after witnessing his behaviour at the MTV awards after he lost out to those he thought unworthy of beating him and ringing around to see if his peers shared his anguish/disgust at the decision I came to the conclusion that he's a jumped up victim of his own creation, who for some reason, see's himself as royalty.

Basically I suffer from a mental condition by which if I don't like the performer/entertainer/personality for various reasons of c_ntish behaviour then I wont enjoy their performances/material.

I think i would agree the man's an ignorant pig. I would also like to say that i think Beyonce handled the situation really well. She was clearly shocked by his outburst and must have been mortified by his behaviour.

One other point. Whilst the video that she won an award for was good i wouldn't go so far as to say 'probably the best video of all time'. It was three women dancing(albiet very well) shot in black and white/sepia. Have i got that right? or am i mistaken?

    • Pointless unless Southwark will make money from this being erected.  If that’s the case, it will be allowed.
    • Yes, there's no way anyone would want a Wi-Fi hub in Lordship Lane. Absolutely pointless. Anyone who actually wants or needs to communicate or access data will already have their 5G phone or satellite phone on them to get fast data. And of course we are lucky that we have such a strong and unbroken mobile signal from all suppliers locally. With no dead spots.
    • I see from the Site Notice https://planning.southwark.gov.uk/online-applications/files/B867B0B45973C03BE4D45CE4513BDE35/pdf/25_AP_2825-SITE_NOTICE-4151698.pdf that the "Comment by" date is 5 November. My understanding is that comments submitted after that date can and ?will still be considered if the decision-making hasn't yet been done; so I wouldn't let the date in itself deter you if you  want to comment now.   Was the site notice actually posted near the location, btw? Does the hub have any claimed functions other than advertising?
    • Whilst reading about what was Poundland, I saw that BT has applied to install (block the pavement with) one of its large screen advertising 'street hubs' outside the building. This seems like a terrible idea in my opinion - others may disagree - but you might want to look at the planning application and comment. There is still a day or two to do so.  Here's the relevant application 25/AP/2825 https://planning.southwark.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=documents&keyVal=T3G4H5KBH1500 and how it will look https://planning.southwark.gov.uk/online-applications/files/BDF327FA0103A31946387A251B9C9D45/pdf/25_AP_2825-ELEVATION_PLAN-4143504.pdf
