Whats that point got to do with the Subject matter?::o

Anna, even the football thread doesn't stay on topic! They do in the drawing room, but there is no smiling, no wit, and certainly no stella allowed in there! The fact BBW isn't allowed in there may also have something to do with it...

Are you one of those 'swingers' they're making a film about, Bob?

See that's what I originally put but lost my nerve ( I know I'm a dickhead ) but it is scaffolder/pikeyville there .

"They do in the drawing room, but there is no smiling, no wit, and certainly no stella allowed in there!"

A bit harsh, Brendan's made me chuckle a couple of times today, I however have been a crashing bore and a dickhead to boot, or is this the wrong thread?

Brendan always makes me laugh, most days anyway. Of course you've been an insufferable dickhead Mockney. Aren't we all in some shape or form to each other at least once in the course of the day.

I know I am.

I think BBW was calling a lot of people dickhead there Anna. The pubs were packed this afternoon.

Unfortunately BBW, I have to disqualify you. I have your original unamended post. And here it is.

"STELLAAA!! STEEELLLAAAA!!!

Now the question is, is that Marlon Brando playing Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire or Julia Lois-Dreyfus's impersonation of him from The Pen episode of Seinfeld?>

Correct answer wins a bottle of Peroni."

Julia Lois-Dreyfus's impersonation of him from The Pen episode of Seifeld.

I know I'm right Hooch, so I'll expect that bottle of Peroni by this evening.

As far as I know Julia never appeared in a programme called Seifeld.

You also repeated my deliberate mistake of referring to Julia Louis Dreyfus as Julia Lois Dreyfus.

This is proof positive that you, yes you, are in fact the blackmailing Russian spy whose Lemmy-style facial wart hides a microdot containing enough evidence to put the Prime Minister in front of bars, where he'll greet each new customer with "Ef it was'nae fe Blair...", for the rest of his natural life.

Anyway BBW, no dice as far as the Peroni goes.

    • He did mention it's share of freehold, I’d be very cautious with that. It can turn into a nightmare if relationships with neighbours break down. My brother had a share of freehold in a flat in West Hampstead, and when he needed to sell, the neighbour refused to sign the transfer of the freehold. What followed was over two years of legal battles, spiralling costs and constant stress. He lost several potential buyers, and the whole sale fell through just as he got a job offer in another city. It was a complete disaster. The neighbour was stubborn and uncooperative, doing everything they could to delay the process. It ended in legal deadlock, and there was very little anyone could do without their cooperation. At that point, the TA6 form becomes the least of your worries; it’s the TR1 form that matters. Without the other freeholder’s signature on that, you’re stuck. After seeing what my brother went through, I’d never touch a share of freehold again. When things go wrong, they can go really wrong. If you have a share of freehold, you need a respectful and reasonable relationship with the others involved; otherwise, it can be costly, stressful and exhausting. Sounds like these neighbours can’t be reasoned with. There’s really no coming back from something like this unless they genuinely apologise and replace the trees and plants they ruined. One small consolation is that people who behave like this are usually miserable behind closed doors. If they were truly happy, they’d just get on with their lives instead of trying to make other people’s lives difficult. And the irony is, they’re being incredibly short-sighted. This kind of behaviour almost always backfires.
    • I had some time with him recently at the local neighbourhood forum and actually was pretty impressed by him, I think he's come a long way.
