Nero
My nana, who is 89 in November, wants a very simple mobile phone, mainly to receive calls but sometimes to make them. She is not interested in texting or camera etc. If you have any ideas of which model would suffice, I'd be grateful. (I've seen those Big Button phones but they cost ?100, which I think is too dear.) daizie
Nero, what about an older style phone? NOKIA 8210. ( used to call it the 'grant' phone as he was always talking on one) I think you can still buy them on Amazon cheaply . SteveT
I invested in a big button phone for my elderly sister and she is delighted with it. It is expensive but it has all that is required by the older user.Ps dont for get to remind gran that she has to always dial the code as well as the number, I had to explain that to my sister. SeanMacGabhann
I'd go with daizie - old school Nokias are simple as. And reliable. No complex OS to go wrong, and they tend to have chunkyish buttons too Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8065-advice-on-mobile-for-elderly-first-time-user/#findComment-249848 Share on other sites
ontheedge
Got my parents a sagem which was specifically recommended for those not so adept with technology no gadgets on it just phone and text. No probs in 2 years was pretty expensive but for ease of use worth it.
