Bonfire Night/Fireworks display

Does anybody know of any public fireworks displays around Dulwich this year?

Usually the best one is Brockwell Park, Lambeth blows the budget better than Southwark.

Blackheath is really good too...on a related but slight tangent, I've just been watching the news and seen that most councils have yet to undertake fire risk assessments of their properties as required under law of all social landlords; the type which might have prevented the tragedy in Camberwell over the summer. Lambeth has assessed 2 blocks of the 112 it owns. Maybe some reprioritising of budgets needs to be considered before this years Guy Fawkes night...

Battersea Park display is HUGE and excellent - http://www.whatsonwhen.com/sisp/index.htm?fx=event&event_id=19691 -http://www.wandsworth.gov.uk/info/200006/arts_and_entertainment/288/fireworks_displays but note the admission fee.Also you can usually get there by train in about 10 minutes from Denmark Hill or Peckham Rye.

That'll be Dulwich Sports Club on Burbage Road. I used to go when I was a kid. They have them every year and are to be recommended.

they charge to get in though Jah, a fiver when I went some years ago.

There's usually/always one at Crystal Palace, as well, been good when I've been to it

the one's at blackheath are always brilliant though most of the people there must be teenagers. i take my kids there every year and they love it! we once saw a smiley face in fireworks
