I am currently doing NCT classes as we are due to have a baby in early November.

I also sent the slip in for the NHS classes 4 months ago but never heard back. I have since left a number of messages/tried to go to the office at Kings (it was closed) and now there seems to be no answerphone facility on the number - it just rings out.

I know they are on Mondays/Tuesdays/Thursdays at various times so am thinking of just turning up now I am on mat leave.

So my question is - are they worth it if I am also doing NCT, and given I can't reach anyone to ask, does someone who is going know when the first set of 3 start?

Thanks!

They are worth doing. they are run by the lovely Sue and Pat, they really know their onions, and it's interesting to get the information from a different angle. They pretty much cover the same topics as the NCT ones, it's just that you get a bit more time and tailoring with the NCT ones as they have smaller groups. But I would say , yes - definitely worth going to.

    • Thanks penguin  always wondered about that place and that’s way more info than I ever thought I would get  (used to live above a gun nut on friern road - he would tell me nothing)
    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.
    • Did anyone actually venture in to that place? I recall it always being closed/very uninviting!
