It's quite possible that if this young lad has masturbated in the park then he may have masturbated in his school and if that is the case his school, be it Charter or not, may already be trying to keep an eye on his behaviour. Extra information given to the school should surely be seen as useful and not over reacting. It's not as if the OP could give a name or really detailed description but the incident itself may be enough to help staff help the individual. Lets hope it was just a very unfortunate place for him to have chosen to do this.

Years ago I was the victim of an attack by a young man - he ran up behind me, pinned my arms down whilst on my back and tried to make me kiss him....I kept walking/stagger forward and managed to throw him off and then shouted and he ran away......this was at about 10am one very sunny October morning as I walked to college.....about 6 months later he was caught after an attempted rape. He had started out behaving much as the person you described Angel Delite, then gone on to braver and braver attacks, and by 21 had tried to rape someone.

I think anything we can do to try to identify this young man is a good thing. Even if it is just a childish prank, better to stop it right now.

Molly

I would say it is unlikely he was arousing himself looking at small children, he just was in the bushes at a place that he felt comfortable as perhaps he knows that area well.

I do feel there is a tinge of hysteria in the branding him a sexual deviant at the age of 13 for masturbating. Boys of that age will have a go as often as poss won't they, whenever the urge takes them?

He obviously should have been in school but perhaps he'd been at the doctors or something. He shows a bit of a lack of judgement in where he was but boys of that age don't really think do they.

Let's not have the child on the sex offenders register before we know the situation.

Does or doesn't? Tell you what, let's all split hairs and pretend not to understand the point being made.

Well I think there's no harm in letting the possible school know. Molly made a very good point and I'm glad you are OK Molly. I think he's probaly just a boy going through a wanking phase but there is a very slim chance that his activities could escalate if he gets away with it.

Wasn't there a thread a couple of months ago about a boy in school uniform who flashed at a woman? Probably completely unrelated but I thought I'd mention it.

I guess the moral of this story is that we should all masturbate in the privacy of our own homes, or those of understanding friends.

Unless, of course, you are a breast-feeding mother in which case you are entitled to expose any part of your anatomy in any place you please and damn the offense to anyone else.

I had a very nice email back from the head of Charter. He wasn't in the slightest peeved that I had contacted him to let him know what had happened. The sense I got from the email was that all the schools in the borough pull together on issues such as this and that he would pass on the info. The community warden had not contacted him as of yet, so as this was the second incident I'm glad that I've been able to bring it to someone's attention who may be able to help.

No-one is labellling a 13 year old as a sexual deviant but it is unacceptable behaviour to masterbate in public, particularly around small children. I can tell you this, he knew exactly what he was doing, he wanted to be seen and he was not attempting to keep himself hidden in the thick of the bushes. Whatever his reasons he needs to stop.

Colonel blimp - c'mon! no mass hysteria here.

Domitianus - shame on you! methinks you are being very naughty and trying to start a fight with the ladies on this thread. it's just not the same thing and you know it!

This post is so funny it's almost worthy of Louisa! Very very good effort! (Worth pointing out though that it isn't just their entitlement, but their legally enshrined right! Ha!)

That was t**t, btw.

Was the kid getting off at the sight of the young children? If so then this incident is very concerning, he could well be a paedophile in the making. The sexual urges you keep for live begin at 11-13 yrs old. If you're gonna be hetrosexual, gay or a nonce then you definitely know by the time you are 13.

If all he was doing was having a quick one in the bushes, it is less concerning. I spent some time in India a few years ago and reguarly saw young lads beating one off in 'semi-private' places, never really bothered me. Lets face it, wanking is the number one hobby of 13 year old boys.

  • 4 weeks later...
told a mum friend of mine about this thread yesterday morning and would you believe, she saw this boy yesterday afternoon after school hours. she was with her young son. again, dul park, school boy dropped his trousers in front of her whilst looking at her. she confronted him and gave chase but he got away. police attended the park and it appears they are taking this seriously. again, incident took place near to play area.

Utter nonsense.

Good way to whip this up a notch though.

I think that to be honest the uniform could be any school they nearly all have that uniform its generic and the only way to know for sure is the badge on a blazer, It is worrying if it was near the kids play park, but it's more likely he just wanted to bat one off in the bushes and any bushes would do. It would be a shame if he was labelled as a sex criminal at that age but having said that any one should be able to understand the concerns of a mum. Lets hope he is caught and reprimanded and gets the message that tugging in public is not acceptable.Lets hope his "can do" attitude develops into something more positive .

    • My understanding is the "free event" is 100% Gala, nothing to do with the council. Obviously Gala will still make money from the food & drink that they are trying to coerce punters into buying on their social media posts. Their costs will be negligible due to already having the infrastructure in place for Gala. So Gala are trying to appear community minded by providing this "free event", but the real goal is to set a precedent for a fourth day's festival - which surely no one could possibly object to?!? - in preparation for applying (again) for two three-day festivals spread over two weekends. It's only another two days, right, and the site & equipment is already there, so why would anyone object?!? More money for the council, much more money for Gala, win-win right? But yet another week of our park taken away from us, too, and another 18,000 people trampling & littering the park, and another week of disturbance for the native birds & wildlife...
    • Meson Don Felipe on The Cut was my go to place for many years. Though it's now many years since I was there. 10-15 minute walk from the Tate. If you go can you tell me what it's like nowadays?
    • Doubt you would have got much change out of £150.00 for battery and certainly having forked out for it, best to use your car. I recently sold  my car via webuyanycar.com - very pleasant experience & was roughly what I was expecting. Pop your bangers reg jnto their website to get an idea of price - they do send e mails once a fortnight/month just as an aid for you. Easy enough to delete - don’t even have to read valuation. They literally buy any car - if you can’t get it to them, they will charge you to get it there or recommend a co that will do it for you. Must say, mine was a 2014 reg and whilst a bit suspicious, paid extra to get money into my account as needed it for next car but was assured funds had I not gone down route I took would be in my account within 5 days. I now live in the country - every time I have been back to Dulwich and surrounding area, normally get a fine for driving at wrong time or parking at  wrong time so if I drive now, park in West or East Dulwich and do everything else by public transport and walking.  Were I still to be living in ED then before I left was pondering this very issue but since I have been back regularly for health reason I no longer drive but take the train and then buses, walk or Uber. Much cheaper than running a car and had I stayed, that would have been the course I would have taken. I don’t go out everyday, have an allotment or job to go to or family so in my case, would be cheaper not to have a car.  Was truely shocked   at the cost of second hand cars…..but where I now live only has a smattering of buses so no choice but to have wheels to get from A to B etc.
    • If you don't use the car often then suggest disconnect the battery between use by undoing the earth (negative / minus sign) cable from the battery and the battery will then last longer between use. Remember, central locking, alarm, clock, etc won't work with battery disconnected and wit ours I have to lock the doors with central locking before disconnecting battery as only have key on one door (leave bonnet open before locking doors). Hope this helps
