I was, for my shame, in Adventure for the bitter end last night, swinging my hips with 6 beautiful professional dancers, who may well have been the 16 year olds you mention (mid twenties, in fact). By god, they were fun. I think Kebab and Wine finished us all off, though.

Lordship lane has plenty, but I would, generally, steer clear of adventure and Boho, too.

Unless you need to stock up a Tesco's avoid West D. I've just seen tumbleweed blowing through there ( again)

Brrr

LSL all the way

W**F

well we ended up doing a bit of a pub crawl. i do like cherry tree and the bishop but no one mingles. i would really like to meet more local people so i can socialise more on my door step.

when i looked at adventure some drunk guy was having an argument with the bouncers - so we avoided it.

the bishop was busy but no mingling. EDT was the most lively, not bad at all. the vale was dead

hey ho i will be going out in clapham in future

So you didn't pull then ?

its all well and good 2 declare no mingling or friendly discussions occur but one does wonder how much of an effort has been put in on ur part.

Whenever im out and about in ed i usually end up conversing wiv those whom i didnt originally arrive wiv...

U simply must work harder! :p

went out for my leaving do on the saturday, meant to be a pub crawl but had about 30 people so we didnt make it out of EDT until closing time, then yes Kebab and wine. Was a bit of an eye opener for the bods who hadnt sampled the delights of Lorship Lane, that the car accident and the fight out the front. Good times

    • Fired Earth as a whole went into administration unfortunately - doesn't seem to have been a Dulwich problem specifically. Does anyone know how much the rent is for these Dulwich Village storefronts?
    • It is most likely gas, with what looks like a stop cock, and although the pipe may well have been isolated later from the supply you should get in a gas safe engineer to remove it. At worst it might need to be capped off beneath the floor boards. Don't interfere with it yourself.
    • Sorry, I know this isn't strictly an East Dulwich topic but as there are so many late-Victorian properties in the area I wondered if anyone has seen anything similar in their house and can advise. We have what looks like an old gas outlet on the back wall of our daughter's bedroom which we'd like to remove, but we weren't sure whether it's safe to do so. Do I just call a registered gas engineer to check it out? And is it definitely a gas outlet or might it be something else? It's at floor level so maybe electricity but it doesn't look like any electricity outlet I've ever seen! Has anyone had any experience of dealing with something similar?
