Question Air

The new shop, Question Air, that has replaced the god-awful Give & Take is a pretty surprising replacement. Are the prices charged really reflective of typical ED clientele? I know we are now all supposed to be ex-Angel yummy mummys with massive bank acocunts and 1m houses but still, who in the area would spend ?200 on a jumper!? Obviously wish it all the best but will be interested to see whether it succeeds....

Its not only people in ED who shop in Lordship Lane. While the demographics of ED alone might not be able to support a store like this (given many residents are long standing and less 'affluent', the combination of the new residents in ED, Nunhead, Peckham, Forest Hill and Honor Oak not to mention those living in the Village can more than support a shop like this. And by the way, once you can pay as much for a house as houses in this general area sell for now, you most definitely can spend 200 quid on a jumper!

There are only a limited number of clothes shops in ED so I'd be surprised if people from other areas went out of their way to visit LL to shop there. The Question Air in Dulwich Village didn't stick around which would suggest the Dulwich residents weren't keen to spend that much either....?

Question Air's other shops are in Barnes, Clapham (Northcote Rd), Hampstead and Wimbledon Village. Either they're wrong about ED (which would be surprising given they should know the area well after trying DV) or this area has joined the 'exalted heights' of its other locations.

Maybe, maybe not. Doesn't mean that you want to spend that much, though. Even if you earn 200K a year, that's still a bloody expensive jumper..

    • As a former Pug owner I get really upset and angry when I see owners of brachycephalic breeds (all bull dog breeds, pugs etc) taking them out in hot sun..Those breeds should be walked very early in the morning and at dusk ideally or if they need a pee just pop out for a moment or two..do NOT drag the dog around panting like a fur accessory. I REALLY want to 'have a word' with the owners but when i once did that a couple of years ago (frenchie pup being dragged along panting in the heat kept trying to lie down in obvious distress) its female owner told me to f-off and mind my own buisness so now I avoid the aggro.
