That is very suspicious - you would always get a text and alert from Amazon first, they would never call you about a delivery - only if you had requested a callback about a service/refund issue. This area is getting targetted way too often lately, did their number show up on your call records? Would be worth reporting it to the Police imho.

You won't get a text if the parcel is being sent to you as a gift. The purchaser might, but the person receiving the gift won't, as Amazon will only have delivery address details.

But they should try to deliver first. It doesn't seem quite kosher to me.

Even if if a number is withheld, if the call came from a landline or mobile the police can still access it.

    • However, some would particularly like to avoid reviews of the 'there are far too many mice'; 'the cakes are deteriorating badly' nature. If you consider that a 'Negative Nelly' response. My experience was that the hot drinks and the varieties of e.g. teas on offer, were generally a positive element. As were the staff serving.
    • The hare krishna restaurant is called Govindas and still going strong in Soho Street, a different establishment to the one that used to be (still is?) in Hanway Street. I must go back to Govindas some time
    • Its that time of year again, past Christmas day and late delayed cards are turning up. How late are your cards arriving ?  Last year I had one delivered 4 weeks late. Can that be beaten this year ?
    • Sadly, a lot of businesses didn't invite reviews on the EDF at that time due to a number of "negative nellies" that would take delight in posting unfavourable comments, often despite never being to the business in question.  No matter how good the place was, some posters would find fault that wasn't there "don't lile the colour of the bidet set in the private bathroom, avocado 😅" Can hardly blame businesses at the time for not wanting reviews on here, thankfully that has mostly changed now.
