Can anyone recommend somewhere to go for a meal in the afternoon near Somerset House (North side of Waterloo Bridge)please?

My sister is coming over with her daughter and niece for ice skating and then we will go for some food nearby.

The kids are aged:

nearly 3

5

6

11ish.

Plus 4 adults.

I was thinking about Carluccio's in Covent Garden as I think they are fairly child friendly with crayons and stuff. If anyone can think of anywhere else a short stroll from Somerset House please let me know.

Many thanks.

Hello

we went to Sophies steak house in Covent Garden recently - someone suggested it to us. It was very child friendly and they were great with our then 9 month old. We all sat in a circular booth which had mirrors around the top of the seating - a big hit with our son. you don't have to have steak they also do soup and sandwiches etc and have a kids menu.

Belgo's Covent Garden, kids eat free (1 kid per adult, was once 2 kids per adult!)

Kids menu sausage, cod goujons, chicken with a choice of mash or fries followed by an ice cream. Drinks

not included.

Friendly staff with Stokke high chairs for little ones.

You can check out their menu on their website.

    • You can get a card at the till, though, to get the discount. You don't have to carry it with you (or load it onto your phone), you can just get a different card each time. Not sure what happens if they notice 🤣
    • Yes..that may be the case but membership STARTING at £115 a month is still unafforable for many. Council gyms also have a large range of equipment and I had a  PT at Dulwich leisure centre when I was in Full Time employment who was incredible and even kept in contact during lockdown giving me a program I could do at home and checking in weekly at no charge or personal gain for herself. I dont doubt that Fit For may be a good gym (Its been in situ long enough so must be doing something right) However the cost of membership means it is affordable for the few not the many. If I could afford that kind of fee I would rather get a train to Canary Wharf and go to Virgin active where theres a pool and incredible classes and facilities
    • This sounds great 👍
    • We found a red TREK bike yesterday that had clearly been stolen and dumped. Would love to reunite it with its owner. Get in touch if you know whose it is.
