emc
Help! Have just spilled tea on my Macbook Air. It's buggered (according to my techzone at work) and I need a new one. I have all my daughter's baby pix on there in the library thingie, nearly 5000 of them (only her most recent are showing up on Icloud) Are photos contained on the hard drive? If the hard drive is still intact will the photos be retrievable? Any advice gratefully received, am so, so gutted. thanks Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/87619-help-with-spillage-on-macbook-air/ Share on other sites
gingerchris
It is likely the pictures will be recoverable, the hard drive is usually protected from spillages. It should be reasonably trivial for a computer repair place to remove the drive and copy files over to a new computer or external drive.I'd definitely recommend picking up an external drive and making regular backups when you've got your new machine - will give you some peace of mind should anything like this happen again in the future.
