Guest
I waited for the 17.03 whixh eventually arrived at about 17.23 and stayed on the platform for ever and the driver said it could be stuck for a while due to a slow movig train ahead. I decided to abandon my journey as apparently even if your train arrives more or less on time and moves off you could be stuck between stations for ages. The 40 bus might be better. Zebedee Tring
Is Wottajoke's experience typical of the recent train service between ED and London Bridge. If so, I'll give that line a wide berth. Robert Poste's Child
If by recent you mean the last two and a half years, I'd say yes. Bic Basher
Considering the problems with the new Elephant & Castle junction, I'd give the 40 a wide berth. mikeb
@bic basher - I know and appreciate you are a rail enthusiast but please don't excuse poor rail connections with bad bus action Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/87630-trains-to-london-bridge-really-slow-at-the-moment/#findComment-940755 Share on other sites
healey
This is simply due to the ongoing overhaul at LB. It's inevitable as platforms are out of action. The end is in finally in sight, however. The Charing Cross link returns in Dec 2016. Work complete in 2018. I work in Soho, so not having the Charing Cross link has been an utter pain in the backside. healey
E&C was quite a bit better last week too. Maybe they tweaked the phasing.....Hopper Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> Buses fine today - even with Elephant.
