I waited for the 17.03 whixh eventually arrived at about 17.23 and stayed on the platform for ever and the driver said it could be stuck for a while due to a slow movig train ahead. I decided to abandon my journey as apparently even if your train arrives more or less on time and moves off you could be stuck between stations for ages. The 40 bus might be better.

This is simply due to the ongoing overhaul at LB. It's inevitable as platforms are out of action. The end is in finally in sight, however. The Charing Cross link returns in Dec 2016. Work complete in 2018.

I work in Soho, so not having the Charing Cross link has been an utter pain in the backside.

    • Well thanks for enriching the conversation.  Would you chuck Fah - rage in too for his tax avoidance on his property?   I expect it was lead story on Jeremy Vine too.  Doesn't make it a story, just a bit more of BBC tabloid style sensationalism.  There are numerous real news stories in the UK and across the world.  And now, apt for Halloween, you have summoned up the ghost of Louisa. So for the third time, will you now eat humble pie?
