MrBen
I'd like to kindly ask for some help. Assuming I get prior permission from the artist/band first of course...whats the latest and best way to record live music i.e. from in the crowd, and without a direct feed from the PA?I used to use an old Sony Mini Disc with a directional mic discretely clipped to my jacket and then fed onto a recordable CD - it was great, reliable, good quality sound etc but as its bitten the dust I'm thinking that there must be an newer equivelant that offers decent quality and functionality?Any advice much appreciated. Jah Lush
Try a Zoom H4 field recorder. I went to see Jeff Beck at Ronnie Scott's a couple of years ago and my mate took one in to record hidden under a newspaper. Excellent recording quality. MrBen
Jah - you're a genius. Records in .wav or MP3, has internal studio quality mics or can use an external one, a USB interface....may be worth a trip to Amazon.Thanks.
