I'd like to kindly ask for some help. Assuming I get prior permission from the artist/band first of course...whats the latest and best way to record live music i.e. from in the crowd, and without a direct feed from the PA?

I used to use an old Sony Mini Disc with a directional mic discretely clipped to my jacket and then fed onto a recordable CD - it was great, reliable, good quality sound etc but as its bitten the dust I'm thinking that there must be an newer equivelant that offers decent quality and functionality?

Any advice much appreciated.

    • Yes, Persepolis definitely coming to SE22, we ate in the legendary Peckham branch last week and the Lordship Lane offshoot was confirmed. It will be called Simorgh. Doubt if the new one will have a roof terrace overlooking the Job Centre though! • I wasn't suggesting they should be used as a fox deterrent service! I thought I had explained that in my post. I posted information about them and what they do because you had posted about The Fox Project!
    • No idea to both! Though I seem to be being allowed to react again now 👍 I'm working on it 😂 It distracts me from the many many more important things I have to do 🤣
    • Respectfully, the Fox Angels Foundation need all the volunteers they have to tend to emergency call-outs, & should not be used as a fox deterrent service unless the fox is in danger. Forward all fox deterrent concerns to Fox-A-Gon so not to overwhelm these rescues.
