Wends_s
Hi we are looking at wedding venues in East Dulwich and Dulwich village. We are happy to either have it all in one place or have a seperate wedding ceremony and reception but all ideally in walking distance of each other. Any recommendations welcome please š Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/89596-looking-for-great-local-wedding-venues-in-dulwich/ Share on other sites

goosey-goosey
Upstairs at the EDT seems to be used more and more for receptions. gingerchris
We had our reception at The Lordship and we're very happy with how well everything went, and how well looked after we were. L16579
I went to a lovely wedding at The Asylum in Peckham followed by an excellent reception at the EDT. Wends_s
Thanks gingerchris we were going to look at the lordship, out of interest did you hire the whole pub or do they have a function room? Good luck :)The Old Nun's Head will not have a function room as from the end of February. It is becoming a craft beer bar :(I went to a wedding reception at The Ivy House a year or so back, and that was good. It also has a good sound system, and a fab stage if you wanted to have live music.Their phone number is 020 7277 8233 and the events manager is Harry. I am slightly biased as I have community shares and also put on gigs there, but the reason for both is that it's a fab venue!!ETA: The Lordship has a separate function room upstairs. gingerchris
We hired the whole pub at The Lordship. They do have a function room upstairs but it wasn't big enough to fit all our guests. KatyLou
I got married at Belair House in December and it was beautiful. We had a small ceremony and lunch with close family and a few friends. We then had our reception (party) the following evening at Greenwich Yacht Club which was also perfect for our plans. I realise this isnt in the immediate area but worth a look if you can't find your ideal venue. George Orwell
It all depends on your budget really.Last year I went to wedding at Dulwich College and the happy couple were absolutely delighted with how it all went. 60 people, live band, excellent food and the whole event was extremely well organised. I understand the entire show didn't give any change from ?20,000. ArthurE
I got married in The Rosendale last May, they were very friendly and professional, we had both the ceremony and the reception there as they have a wedding licence. they are very reasonably priced, total bill for food, drink and room hire came to less than ?7000 i believe (my wife family doesn't drink much though)I would also recommend Lucy Judson as a photographer, very friendly and took great photos, she lives in west dulwich i believe http://lucyjudson.co.uk Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/89596-looking-for-great-local-wedding-venues-in-dulwich/#findComment-950904 Share on other sites
